Configuring Notification Preferences

How to configure your email notification settings — breach alerts, critical-only mode, monthly reports, and product updates.

Overview

Verusight lets you control exactly which notifications you receive. All notification settings are managed from Dashboard → Settings → Notification Preferences.

Available Notifications

Notification Description Default
New Breach Alerts Get notified when a new credential exposure is detected for any of your monitored domains On
Critical Only Filter breach alerts to only notify you for critical-severity findings (risk score ≥ 70) — reduces notification volume while ensuring you hear about the most urgent threats Off
Monthly Report Receive a monthly summary report via email for each monitored domain On
Product Updates New features, security news, and platform updates from Verusight On

How to Change Settings

  1. Go to Dashboard → Settings
  2. Scroll to the "Notification Preferences" section
  3. Toggle any switch on or off
  4. Changes save automatically — no "Save" button is needed

Each toggle takes effect immediately. There is no confirmation dialog.

How Notifications Interact

Breach Alerts + Critical Only

  • If both "New Breach Alerts" and "Critical Only" are enabled, you'll only receive alerts for exposures with a risk score ≥ 70
  • If "Critical Only" is disabled (but Breach Alerts is on), you'll receive alerts for all new exposures regardless of severity

Monthly Report

  • Monthly reports are generated automatically at the end of each billing month
  • The report email contains a link to view the full report in your dashboard
  • This is independent of breach alerts — you can have monthly reports without real-time alerts, or vice versa

Product Updates

  • Product updates are low-volume announcements about new features, security advisories, and platform improvements
  • These are not related to your domain's exposure data

Pro Guard Required

Breach alerts and monthly reports are only actionable with an active Pro Guard subscription, since they depend on continuous monitoring being active. The toggles are visible on all accounts, but alerts will only fire when monitoring is running.
