Enabling Monitoring for a Domain

How to activate continuous monitoring for a verified domain, including auto-catch-up and slot management.

Overview

After verifying a domain, you can enable continuous monitoring to receive real-time breach alerts and automated monthly reports. This article covers how to enable monitoring and what to do when slots are full.

Prerequisites

Before you can enable monitoring, you need:

  1. ✅ An active Pro Guard subscription ($499/year)
  2. ✅ A verified domain (complete any verification method)
  3. ✅ An available monitoring slot (Pro Guard includes 3 slots)

How to Enable Monitoring

Automatic (Auto-Catch-Up)

When you first subscribe to Pro Guard, Verusight automatically enables monitoring for your existing verified domains — up to the available slot count. No manual action is needed.

For example, if you have 2 verified domains when you subscribe, both are automatically enrolled in monitoring.

Manual

If you add and verify a new domain after subscribing:

  1. Go to Dashboard → Settings → Domains
  2. Find the verified domain you want to monitor
  3. Click the "Enable" button next to it

The domain will show a green "Monitored" badge once activated.

When Slots Are Full

Pro Guard includes 3 monitoring slots. If all slots are in use:

  • The "Enable" button won't appear for additional verified domains
  • You'll see a message: "All 3 slots in use"
  • An option to "Add Slot — $99/yr" is displayed

Adding More Slots

Click "Add Slot" to purchase additional monitoring capacity at $99/year per slot. Each slot supports one additional monitored domain.

Monitoring States in the Dashboard

Indicator Meaning
Green dot + "Monitored" Domain is actively monitored. Scans run every 30 minutes.
"Pending" badge Domain is added but not yet verified. Verify first to enable monitoring.
"Enable" button Domain is verified and a slot is available. Click to activate.
No button, no badge Domain is verified but all slots are in use. Purchase an additional slot.

Disabling Monitoring

To stop monitoring a specific domain, remove it from your account. Removing a domain frees its monitoring slot for use with another domain. Note that removing a domain permanently deletes all associated data (reports, exposures, verification records).
